You don’t feel like trying again. So why do it? Because loving is the most natural thing to do. We are communal people and as Barbara Streisand sang, “People, people who need people are the luckiest people in the world.” That’s how we are hard wired from birth. As babies we need our caretakers or we literally die.

These exercises are designed for you to better understand the nature of your frustration with your partner and for the two of you to being to heal that relationship. Be as honest as you can, be willing to be real. Because the more honest you are, the more thorough your answers, the more realistic the goal of healing this relationship actually is…..click to read whole article

Self-Help for SAD!

Self-Help Suggestions for Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

  • Eat Healthfully Consuming fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins, as opposed to processed foods, refined sugar, white bread, fatty meats, etc. can give you a boost in energy and stabilize your mood.
  • Exercise Exercise keeps you feeling and looking your best, and it produces feel-good hormones that last throughout the day.
  • Relax & Meditate Take time to relax and de-stress. Whether it’s through deep breathing exercises, yoga, a trip to the spa with some friends, or reading a good book, make sure you’re allowing yourself some quality down-time.
  • Go Outdoors Spend some time outside each day, even it’s only for a quick walk around your neighborhood. Enjoying the daylight, even if the hours are limited in the winter, can help to boost your mood.
  • Lighten the Room Increase the amount of lighting indoors. Add extra lamps and use brighter lightbulbs; this may help to create a cheerier, sunnier feeling at home.

Please note: If you (or a loved one) are feeling suicidal, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK, or for immediate emergency assistance, call 911.

Overcome Job Hunting Stress & Land the Job!

Everybody loves stress. we thrive on it.
It brings out the best in us.
Stress is the doorkeeper of the “fight-or-flight” mechanism. When it gets the better of us, our dash for safety can be a dash straight out of the door of our own lives.
It can be. It doesn’t have to be.

How to Overcome Stress & Land the Job

One of the times where stress can build to the danger level fast is when we’re looking for a job. Think of what is at stake! Our job not only keeps the roof over our head, it enables us to care for and educate our children. It is often the determiner of who our friends are, our social class, and it even largely defines our sense of self.
Looking for a job puts us where much of our stress originates from, from our dreams, insecurities, fear of failure (or even success).
So how can you defuse the stress and succeed?

1. Learn your best strengths and where they can be used, even if it means pushing into a minimal market; because in the end the employer chooses the best candidate whether from a tank of 300 fish or 3,000; so go where you can be your best.
